Slc. Luetticke's Sparkler is a hybrid between L. Pastoral Symphony X Sc. Batemanniana. It was created in 1994 and registered in 1999 and has proven to be an easy grower.

This orchid flowers twice a year with some beautiful medium-lavender flowers and dark lavender flares. And in fact it has thousands of little sparkles, which show up under the right lighting conditions, for example on the picture below.

I bought it on ebay from the seller "greglue", who is also the creator of this wonderful little orchid. It was in bloom when I got it in November 2005 and the next growth stated blooming in December.
